40Flexinn kicks high powered freestyle “High Flow”

Slowly, a menacing piano and synth creep into your speakers. They transform into a full-paced, catchy progression, afore being cut by the raspy cough of the very person who’d come to slaughter them. 40Flexinn is his name; and with the bars/delivery of his latest opus, “High Flow”, this East Chicago emcee proves no beat is safe in the radius of his studio. He completely shreds the trap groove of this “High Flow” instrumental, with lyrics bouncing off of each and every 808 that pounds the mix. The pitter-patter of hi-hats carries his passion cleanly throughout the track. And his lyrical viciousness? That is punctuated by every snare’s smack. If “High Flow” is simply a freestyle; it is unfathomable what havoc this Windy City rapper will release when full-fledged. For he has already crafted an outstanding anthem. One the city, and streets beyond it, are destined to rotate.

SlickMick releases new video "Dance with a car in Pattaya"

SlickMick releases new video "Dance with a car in Pattaya"

SlickMick releases new video "Dance with a car in Pattaya"

A song coming from an artiste that has had the “next to death” experience. Artist SlickMick details his journey from being “ok” to lying in a hospital bed not knowing what is really going on whether in his head or anywhere around him. This is basically a testimonial of closing out an experience in Cambodia and heading to Thailand where his world change in the blink of an eye. He could remember stepping from a bus and as he made his way to crossing the street, it all went blank when he was hit by a car and ended up in rehab where his life was now a matter of recovery or out.

Through his song, you could literally hear his passion for living and his strong courage and determination to fight his way through to full recovery. This song portrays his bravery and can definitely be a form of peace and motivation for those going through a struggle and trying to keep going. Though it may be a sad experience, his strength over-powers that and makes him a tower of strength for many in the music industry and those listening. It goes to show life experiences don’t determine your destiny but pushing through and using those said experiences as a stepping stone for greater heights. A true inspiration of fighting through physical, psychological and emotional weakness!

Songs like "Know Yourself" really establishes K Flames as a lyricist. Songs like "Second Chances" lets you into his consciousness. While high energy bangers like "Fuck That Bitch" show listeners that he can, indeed flex and turnup! This is 10-tracks of fire!!!

10 anniversary of Chekk Famous' classic mixtape "Masterpiece Theater"

10 anniversary of Chekk Famous' classic mixtape "Masterpiece Theater"

10 anniversary of Chekk Famous' classic mixtape "Masterpiece Theater"

Hip hop is an art. Art is to be marveled and revered years beyond its creation. Chekk Famous is a true artist who is creating lyrical masterpieces. In 2008 on the westside of Chicago, Chekk Famous and his team created a work of art that has touched the minds and souls of many. That work of art was the start of one of the worlds most recognized DJ collectives, Blok Club DJ's. That work of art is called "Masterpiece Theatre".

This classic album features an array of content that covers the board from turn up, party tracks like "Sweep it Up" to interpersonal tunes like "Thinking of You" where Mr. Famous takes a minute to speak to his daughter. Chekk goes from track to track displaying a level of lyricism matched by few. On tracks like "Ain't Impressed" Chekk separates himself from the competition with flames like "This is not your average jibber jab and rhetoric." The album feature incredible production from Slot A, Byron 'Bang' Walker, and Jaywan Beats provides a little more distance from Chekk Famous and the rest of the crowd. If you want to know how to "turn poetry into profit", I suggest you grab a copy of Masterpiece Theatre, listen and learn.

Pariyah releases visual for new wave breakup song "Karma"

Pariyah releases visual for new wave breakup song "Karma"

Pariyah releases visual for new wave breakup song "Karma"

They say revenge is a dish best served cold. For 23 year old super talent Pariyah, Karma is best served through a couple of sixteens and a hook. The Norfolk, Virginia do it youself native wears many hats to see his vision through. He is the label head at Langley Jourdain Records which he established in 2017. The self described loner and outcast, hence the name, also engineers and produces his own work, so saying the multi talented rapper has an ear for music is an understatement.

Pariyah is back this time around with his new single "Karma" and he is speaking to anyone who has gone through a bitter break up. The up tempo, guitar laced, oh how the tables have turned anthem is reminiscent of Kanye West in the 808 and Heartbreak days, gives off a great vibe as you listen and get over your former love. The seven year vet shows that what goes around truly comes back around and a little heartache can bring out much greatness in you.
