Infamous Thierry releases powerful new-age single titled “Projects”

Infamous Thierry releases powerful new-age single titled “Projects”

Hood love is like nothing else in the world. Trap rapper, Infamous Thierry has just released a powerful trap anthem “Projects”. Thierry delivers an incredible banger with conscious rap undertones over smackin' upper echelon beat! To most the city projects are just the trap - the place you live, hustle, struggle, and die or get locked up at. However, “Projects” most definitely uplifts the hood with deep, thought provoking imagery from Infamous Thierry's past and a breath of hope for the bright future of ghetto kids everywhere. Listen to this champagne toast to success, listen to the new single and read more in the press release below.

Talented hip-hop act, Infamous Thierry, releases his new single, “Projects,” as a follow up to his hugely successful “I Remember.”

Popularly known by the stage name Infamous Thierry, Cameron Thierry literally made a grand entrance into the music scene with the release of his hit single titled “I Remember,” a song that has continued to grow in popularity, garnering over 2.5 million views on YouTube. The talented act has recently released a new single he has titled “Projects,” which is dropped May 17th on all digital platforms.

Cameron Thierry does not only share an origin with hip hop greats like BoosieBadazz, Webbie, and Kevin, but he also grew up listening to their songs such as “Savage Life,” “Badazz,” and “All Or Nothin’.” The relatively young act is gradually building a strong career for himself in the industry and is looking to toe the line of Lil Wayne and Kanye West, some of the several artists that have influenced his style of music.

Infamous Thierry sees himself as a representation of the hoods across the world, about having enough ambition to make it out, a principle that has guided his music delivery and style. His song titled “I Remember” is a thought-provoking song about Infamous losing his brother to the streets and his struggles to be the best he can be despite all the obstacles life has thrown at him. The song has helped him become a fan’s favorite, particularly on the streets.

Infamous will continue his path to become the leading artist in the industry as he looks to be on a good path to achieving this aim and stand himself out in the industry, with a planned 15 city promotional tour kicking off in his home town, Baton Rouge.

Infamous aims to use his God-given gift to inspire listeners across the globe by bringing his own style to the industry and allowing his fans to grow with him and witness his evolution in the industry. His current project called “Projects,” a song for everyone who has defied all odds to become successful in their own sphere, no matter how small. The song chronicles Infamous’ story and what he had to do and lose to make it out.

Infamous Thierry aims to one day live his dream of having a collaboration with the legendary Jay Z and this dream seems close with the rate he is going.

KANGOL STILL MAKING NOISE!

KANGOL STILL MAKING NOISE!

KANGOL STILL MAKING NOISE!

KANGOL STILL MAKING NOISE!

The latest Band of the Hawk release, Kangol, finds the collective dropping their strongest lyrics while retaining the languid, disconnected groove listeners have come to identify as classic BOH. That sound, the loop-driven, bottom-of-the-closet beat tapestry (provided by producer/MC Noah Archangel), is perfected here with vocal samples, skit interludes and instrumentation woven to seamless effect (for Noah's best output, check the instrumental Levitikush from his Maschine Wars release last year). His approach is minimum input/maximum result, as the tracks give fellow MC's appropriate room to fit verses in every pocket without altering flow or compromising the subject matter.

The MC's shine here, as their hardest observations are countered with witty self-deprecation and doses of wild humor. King taunts "I'm musically high/never cursed or got drunk/you niggas ain't rapping/just mumbling junk" over Downtown Friday Night's fierce Funkadelic sample. The group's strongest lyricist, King's delivery is representative of the album's wide-ranging appeal. His is the group's gateway flow, as the other MC's enter and exit joints primarily anchored by the his bars. It's a formula with a high rate of success, as brother MC's Noah, Spear Chucka, Whoa Vada, P.Ey3 & STX meet the challenge, tossing bon mots like "back it up to the side of the house with the funnel cut/So I can swim in it like Donald Duck" or "Stomp and stone ya/I'm fucking pneumonia" with an off-the-cuff casualness that feels improvised.

The rumor mill abounds with talk of 2019 being The Band of the Hawk's final recording year. Let's hope that's just talk. Kangol's achievement lies beyond the crossroads of creativity. It's artistry represents a possible new path, not a conclusion.

“One Time” // K’NO drops certified trap banger for the streets

“One Time” // K’NO drops certified trap banger for the streets

“One Time” // K’NO drops certified trap banger for the streets

Why they always fuckin’ with me? No, I don’t give a fuck ‘bout One Time!” Since the reign of T-Pain, the city of Tallahassee has been starved of a star. Places such as Broward County and Miami have been the focus-point of Florida Hip-Hop for years now, leaving T-Town silently in the shadows. That is until K'NO dropped. Although the rapper is now based out of Los Angeles, he represents Tallahassee whole-heartedly; using his savage 2019 single, “ONE TIME”, to cast some rays back on his Gunshine home. Certainly, a star resides in this lyricist, capable of ascribing another face to Tallahassee’s growing list of greats. Only difference between K'NO, and the autotune icon before him, is that this emcee’s artistry hardly caters to the radio. Over hats, snares, and 808s, K'NO is inexplicably cutthroat. His bars are riddled with the ruthless realities of Tallahassee’s streets, matched with clever metaphors regarding the life he lives within them. “ONE TIME” is not a single detail shy of the grittiness, swagger and grime overtaking other areas of Florida. In fact, it may be even better, given that it pumps with an energy only K'NO can accord. This record will be dropping on all platforms May 23rd, and an album will be following it as soon as Miso Rich Entertainment gives the word. Until then, you can catch K'NO’s “ONE TIME” on Youtube; and watch this T-Town talent’s numbers quickly climb.

Banton states “my music is dedicated to the world, [I] think of others first and that is real success”. He views music as a solace during trials and tribulations and prides himself in creating music that would provide healing to others. “West Toast” // Westcoast rapper/producer, Does Matter, drops 25 dope new-age hiphop tracks

California alternative rap artist and producer Does Matter delivers his latest album, West Toast, that features 25 exclusive tracks. Reminiscent of early Odd Future and Lil B, his sound ranges from experimental to dark to strange as he pretty much does whatever he likes on each song. What stands out throughout the album Does Matter’s shocking lyrical content that can either get a little scary, a little kinky or a little out there, hence the outer space theme on the album’s artwork. Although his voice mainly stays in a 21 Savage-like monotone throughout West Toast, Does’ energy level picks up a bit on tracks like “Here to Freestyle the Freestyle” where he shows up to drop some hot ones over hard-hitting, bass-heavy production. A highlight on the album is the closing track “Rich with No Money, Famous with No Fame” that has a mean bassline and displays a more energetic Does with one of the waviest flow on the project. If you’re looking for something totally out of the ordinary and strangely cool, check out Does Matter’s West Toast today.

“Struggle Continues” // G Tha Don releases heartfelt 11-track trap album

“Struggle Continues” // G Tha Don releases heartfelt 11-track trap album

From the south side of Macon, Georgia comes rap artist G Tha Don with his latest album, Struggle Continues, that gives us a real look into the harshness and beauty of life.

On the 11-track project, G hits us with some heavy production and even heavier storytelling as he recalls various moments of pain and struggle throughout his life.

The overall sound of Struggle Continues walks the line between gangsta rap and street trap that’s both real, raw and in your face. Even on the opening track “Filled Wit Pain,” you can hear the frustration in G’s voice that’s also met with honest sincerity.

As you listen on, you get a sense that he’s aware of his struggles but found a more therapeutic way to deal with them via music, and this is what makes the album worth listening to.

A standout track on the album is the title track that’s uptempo and urges us to be more mindful and patient with others because you just don’t know what they may be going through.

If you’re in the mood for music that’s too real to ignore, check out G Tha Don’s Struggle Continues today.

“Trial Time” // Sleeze The Kingpin drops the realest song ever

“Trial Time” // Sleeze The Kingpin drops the realest song ever

“Trial Time” // Sleeze The Kingpin drops the realest song ever

Realness, above anything else, has always been a cornerstone of our culture. Since the early days of rap, our lyrical legends have put pen to paper as a means of speaking on their real-life afflictions. Their real experiences; their real pitfalls and triumphs as minorities in America, to give a glimpse into their real, street-hardened lives. Continuing that stainless tradition, is SLEEZE THE KINGPIN, and his April drop, “TRIAL TIME”, may be the realest story you’ve heard thus far. Its duo of heavy-hitting verses chronicle the Southern rapper’s experiences battling a capital murder charge he was later acquitted for. However, unlike this crime SLEEZE was wrongfully accused of, his skills are the mic are proven beyond a reasonable doubt. The Atlanta-raised spitter does this The Last Mr.Bigg beat a flawless justice; giving an in-depth look at what he underwent in Greary County Jail, as well as the indomitable confidence he maintained through it all. Every bar radiates with SLEEZE THE KINGPIN’s victory. Victory over a system that has unjustly incarcerated millions like him, the same. And that victory is a mark of realness for this Southern emcee that no one can take away. If you too can praise this fortunate turn of events, give “TRIAL TIME” a play.
