Coming in hot off his recent drop “Run the Hood”, Essi is running up numbers and representing his hometown of Burnaby, a city adjacent to Vancouver, Canada. Only 2 weeks after dropping the official visuals to “Run the Hood”, the video has already garnered 20k+ views on YouTube. With over 2000 monthly listeners on Spotify, Essi is looking like a soon-to-be major player in the Vancouver music industry. His direct ties to major talent in the city such as Cashflo 132, Rozay Gz, and MeksyBeats shows that he’s not coming in hot by himself and he keeps a lot of talented people surrounding him. Not to mention his ties with past and present collaborators, some of which include BigSpazz, 3Breezy, and D Rose Off GG.
Essi has released over 16 songs in 2022, and is projecting to hit 50k all time Spotify streams as early as January 2023. Although his recent drops and catalogue majority have been a Detroit inspired sound, with both melodic and hard-body tracks, Essi is known for his catchy melodic tunes such as “9 Lives” , “15 Seconds of Fame”, and “Take a Toll”. His notable harder style tracks include “Morals Over Wealth” (which is well over 12k views on the official YouTube visuals), “Ja Morant” and “Who You Dyin 4”.
