Cadillac Moses of the Psychedelic Soul/Funk collective Cadillac Muzik drops new “Pedal To The Medal (Metal)” song. Unlike the usual Cadillac Muzik style, this record has more of an R&B vintage retro type of vibe going on. Moses definitely decided to drive the Cadillac in another direction with this cut. Moses Blends elements of Old-school Soul, Rhythm, & Blues, yet still manages to sound modern, new and fresh. Produced by Robert Hodge Jr. of TrackPros, this cut gives you the same smooth energy that made the collective Cadillac Muzik so dope, unique, and easy on the listener’s ears.
About:
Beseja Bakari “Cadillac Moses” is a Songwriter/Producer/Solo Artist who is the founder of the Texas-Based Band/Collective Cadillac Muzik. He has released & produced many records under the alias ”CaddyMack Moses” with the Cadillac Muzik Collective. He started his career in early 2004 with the San Antonio rap group Texas Hardknocks. Moses is the nephew of Jimmy Sampson, the superb drummer from the internationally known Ohio Players. Raised on the East & Northeast sides of San Antonio Moses built a passion for music from coming up around his older male role models that only drove Fleetwoods, Devilles, & Eldorados. These role models were neighborhood pimps, playaz, hustlers, ex-ball players, coaches, & pastors. Moses explains how riding in a Cadillac was like taking a trip in a spaceship or time machine into another dimension or galaxy. His older role models would only play Black Gospel, Funk, Psychedelic Soul, or Soulful classic music by artists like Jimi Hendrix, James Brown, Sly Stone, Funkadelic, Isley Brothers, Curtis Mayfield, Isaac Hayes, Al Green, Stevie Wonder, Rick James & Prince. Listening to this type of music would ignite his creativity, and provide a way to escape the negative environment around him. Being surrounded by so much greatness later inspired him to create his own unique style and identity as a musician.
