Some artists make music.
Thurgo builds leverage.

His new single “HMMG” doesn’t chase trends or algorithms , it’s a statement.

Born out of Detroit grind and sharpened by years inside the media and business world, “HMMG” is a pressure record. Heavy drums. Direct bars. Zero fluff. The kind of track that sounds like ownership, not hope.

This isn’t inspiration rap.
It’s execution.
The title nods to the foundation behind Thurgo’s mindset. Family business roots, real-world experience, and years of learning how money, marketing, and power actually move. That edge shows in every line.

He’s not talking about “making it.”

He’s talking like someone who already did.

“HMMG isn’t motivation. It’s discipline. It’s how I move every day. No handouts. No waiting. We build our own table.” – Thurgo

While most independent artists rely on luck, Thurgo plays offense pairing music with strategy, visuals, and brand moves that hit like a rollout, not a hobby. The result is a sound that feels calculated, confident, and built to last.

No gimmicks.

No cosplay.

Just Detroit work ethic and pressure.

ABOUT KASEY PHILLIPS:

Son of Trinidad and to legendary Caribbean producer, Kenny Phillips, Kasey Phillips spent his formative years in the studio, developing his craft early, producing his first track at just ten years old.

Kasey quickly built a name for himself in his home country of Trinidad, becoming an integral part of the music community there, before landing an internship in Los Angeles, California that would expand his musical reach and ultimate vision. In Los Angeles, the possibilities for realizing his passion to bring soca and Caribbean music to the world were clarified, and he was able to return home to launch and build his company, Precision Productions, into the most sought after production company in the nation. As the most prominent music producer in Trinidad, Phillips set his sights on penetrating the U.S. market, and it wouldn’t be long before his work as a producer on Ciara and Chris Brown’s latest single “How We Roll” was sailing up the charts and reaching virality on social platforms. His portfolio includes work with diamond-selling artist Shaggy, R&B sensation Carl Thomas, Australian star vocalist Jessica Mauboy, alongside those who rule the Caribbean music charts, including Machel Montano, Bunji Garlin, Kevin Lyttle, Rupee, and Kes the Band. Sentury Return With Captivating New Single “Forever (Acoustic)”

Sentury Return With Captivating New Single “Forever (Acoustic)”

Sentury Return With Captivating New Single “Forever (Acoustic)”

Houston-based chart-topping R&B group Sentury return with “Forever (Acoustic),” a new single and video that strips their hit song to its emotional core. As the first R&B group in 25 years to achieve a #1 on the Billboard charts, these 9X Billboard charting artists know how to connect. Tender, romantic, and emotionally raw, “Forever (Acoustic)” is built on promises of lifelong love and loyalty, and through every high and low. Shot in monochrome, the accompanying music video offers a magical behind-the-scenes look at Sentury in their element: the studio. It gives a glimpse into the song’s creation while turning the performance into a visual love letter that feels intimate and quietly powerful.

The original “Forever” follows Sentury’s 2025 #1 Billboard Adult R&B hit “Only Human.” The song is the 18th most played R&B song in the USA and is positioned at #14 on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart. “Forever” has been featured on major editorial playlists including Apple Music’s Tearjerkers, Day One, Smooth & Easy; Amazon Music’s Adult R&B; Pandora Music’s Today’s R&B and Old School, New R&B, and many more. The group performed at last year’s Essence Festival and has received acclaim from the likes of Billboard, Rated R&B, Great Day Houston and many more. With its stripped-back sound and intimate visuals, “Forever (Acoustic)” highlights the heartfelt vocals and devotion that define Sentury.

With roots deep in Houston, TX, R&B powerhouse Sentury is carrying the torch for the Golden Era of modern R&B. Their music nods to the legacy of classic groups, with rich layered harmonies and heartfelt storytelling combined with a sleek modern edge. Together, Leo, CJ, AJ, and Rico deliver what they proudly call “grown man R&B.”

Sentury’s origins trace back to church, with all four teen members finding one another while singing at services and fellowships. The group initially began in 2011 with a tight musical bond between Leo, AJ and Rico, but they knew they needed a special fourth to complete the group. When they discovered the enormous talent in CJ, they wasted no time. After getting a seal of approval from CJ’s mother, the magic of Sentury was formed.

Sentury’s style is silk in motion. They embody rich harmonies, vintage cool, and unapologetic soul draped in smooth suits and dimly lit desire. Blending smooth velvety vocals, swaying basslines, and rich live instrumentation, their sound is seductive yet understated, emotional yet resilient, and classic while still fresh.

The hitmakers have nine Billboard charting songs. Initially signed with a major label, they made the decision to go independent when Leo of the group founded his own record label, Gateway Records. This decision let Sentury obtain full creative and promotional control, fueling their success. Their 2025 single “Only Human” is a fresh but faithful reimagining of the Jeffrey Osborne classic. The single climbed to #1 on Billboard’s Adult R&B chart and electrified audiences nationwide, garnering praise from industry legends including the original hitmakers themselves. The achievement cemented Sentury as not just carriers of the R&B tradition, but as innovators shaping its future. Sentury’s latest release “Forever” is an emotionally-charged track celebrating the themes of enduring love, devotion, and commitment. The song’s harmonies and melodies beautifully convey the passionate feelings of finding someone who brings pure joy and completes your world.
